Terms of Service

1. The service

ShotFox is a web app for designing App Store and Google Play screenshots: you add your own screenshots or capture a website, place them in device frames and templates, add text, and export images. We may improve, change or remove features over time.

2. Your account

• You can use parts of ShotFox without an account. Some features need one, created with an email and password or with Google.
• You must give accurate information and keep your login details safe. You are responsible for activity on your account.
• You must be old enough to enter a binding contract where you live, or have a parent or guardian's permission.

3. Plans, payments and trials

• Free plan. Free to use, with limits such as watermarked exports, 1 project and 3 website captures a day.
• Pro plan. A paid subscription billed monthly or yearly. Prices are shown on our pricing page and at checkout, in your local currency where available.
• Free trial. Pro starts with a 7-day free trial. You enter a payment method at sign-up. If you don't cancel before the trial ends, your subscription starts and you are charged automatically.
• Renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel.
• Cancelling. Cancel any time from Manage billing in your account menu. You keep Pro until the end of the period you've paid for, and you won't be charged again.
• Price changes. If we change the price of your plan, we'll tell you before it applies to your next billing period.

4. Paddle is our reseller

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payments, taxes, invoices and refunds are processed by Paddle under Paddle's buyer terms.

5. Refunds

Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.

6. Your content

• You keep all rights to the screenshots, images and text you add, and to the images you export. We don't claim ownership of them.
• Your projects are stored in your own browser. When you capture a website, we load that page on our servers only to make the capture.
• You are responsible for having the right to use what you add, including other people's trademarks, app screens and websites, and for following Apple's and Google's store rules for the images you upload to them.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use ShotFox for anything illegal, harmful, deceptive or infringing;
• capture or reproduce content you don't have the right to use, or try to get around a website's access controls;
• overload, attack, scrape or reverse-engineer the service, or get around plan limits or watermarks;
• resell or share access to a Pro account.

We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.

8. Our content

The ShotFox app, its templates, device frames, design and name belong to CodeOps Technologies or its licensors. You may use templates and frames in the images you create with ShotFox, including for commercial store listings. You may not redistribute them as stand-alone assets or in a competing product.

9. Availability and warranty

We work to keep ShotFox running and accurate, but it is provided "as is" and "as available". We don't promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free, or that the stores will accept every image you make. Keep your own copies of important work.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, CodeOps Technologies is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, data or business. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before it arose. Nothing here limits rights you have as a consumer that can't be excluded by law.

11. Ending

You can stop using ShotFox and cancel at any time. We may suspend or end access if you break these terms or if we discontinue the service; if we discontinue Pro, we'll refund the unused part of any prepaid period.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top, and tell you of important changes by email or in the app. Continuing to use ShotFox after a change means you accept it.
